Ingredients:

-1 lb. of white-fleshed fish (halibut, cod, tilapia)

-Marinade: 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 2 cloves garlic minced, 1 teaspoon grated gingerroot

-sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, garlic and gingerroot. Pour over fish in a large resealable plastic bag. Marinate for 30 minutes – 6 hours.

    1. Preheat grill over medium heat. Remove fish from bag and discard any excess marinade. Grill fish for 8 – 10 minutes per side until cooked through. 3. Transfer to serving platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately with rice and steamed vegetables or green salad.NOTE: Cooking times will vary depending on thickness of fish fillets

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon grated ginger 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 teaspoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 pound orange roughy fillets, 1 inch thick cooking spray 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce 3 tablespoons apricot jam 1 tablespoon grated orange rind Directions:

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

To prepare glaze, combine first 9 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well. Reserve 1/4 cup glaze.

Place fish on grill rack coated with cooking spray. Grill 6 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Brush fish with reserved glaze. Grill an additional 1 minute or until glaze is slightly caramelized. Serve immediately with remaining glaze.
