Grilled Mandarin Fish with a Kick
When we think about grilled fish, the first thing that comes to mind is usually a delicate variety like tilapia or trout. But there's no need to stick with bland options when you're firing up the grill. One flavorful and slightly spicy option is Chinese mandarin fish.
Mandarin fish are a type of carp that are popular in Asian cuisine. They have a mild flavor and a slightly firm texture, which makes them perfect for grilling. The best part is that they're not too expensive, making them a budget-friendly option for a grilled fish dish.
For this recipe, we'll be marinating the mandarin fish in a mix of soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce. This gives the fish a delicious Asian-inspired flavor with a kick of spice. We'll then grill it until it's cooked through.
Serve the grilled mandarin fish with some steamed rice and a simple vegetable stir-fry for a healthy and delicious meal.
